When I received the call from Conner's mother Terri asking if I was available to photograph her sons eagle scout ceremony, I was so excited! I had never seen a ceremony such as this, and especially after seeing movies such as Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson, I was eager to hear about the routine and objectives behind such an honorary status! As it turns out, Conner is an extraordinaire scout who led a service project involving volunteers to assist in constructing and installing wooden posts with QR codes on historical points of the 3.5 mile Cliff Walk! Not only is this interactive for visitors, but informative, and plays an important part in preserving the history of Newport. So here's a big congratulations to Conner! Who received certificates and awards from people such as State Senator Louis DiPalma, Representative Daniel Patrick Reilly and Newport Mayor Jeanne Marie Napolitano! He even has his own day dedicated to him now, seriously cool or what!
